About us

The Just and Perfect Národ Lodge is one of the elemental Freemasonic units assembled in the Grand Lodge of the Czech Republic. We are an association, where men of various positions, education, profession, and origin, but also of common interests, gather together. Our common goal is to achieve at least a tiny progress in the moral and spiritual levels of the society, which we all live in, by the means of self-reflection and self-development.

We are the oldest Masonic Lodge in the Czech Republic (and former Czechoslovakia) with a continuous tradition. We are proud of our ancestors and we love our ritual, based on 18th-century traditions when the first Masonic Lodges merged into the first Grand Lodge of England in 1717. We are integral to the same fraternal chain, we mutually recognise each other and we maintain foreign relations with Lodges from all over the world.

We are proud of the fact that our Lodge was established by great men, such as František Sís, Alois Rašín, Ladislav Syllaba, Čapek brothers, and other great personalities of our national history. We are honoured to carry the torch of light, which these men lighted hundred years ago, to the future and to hand it to our successors. You can find out more about the history of our Lodge in a special section of this website HISTORY OF THE NÁROD LODGE.
