On May 26, the Národ Lodge celebrated its 105th anniversary with a traditional walk to Dolní Šárka, which led to the memorial plaque of important personalities Karel Kramář, Alois Rašín and František Sís. This annual event attracted not only members of the Lodge, but also their family members and those interested in joining the Order. This year the weather was favorable and the walk was held in pleasant almost summer temperatures, which contributed to the relaxed atmosphere.
A total of 12 participants gathered at the memorial plaque commemorating the meeting place of these important figures of the Czech Resistance during the First World War. Here, the WM:. Jiří J. recalled the importance of the 105th anniversary of the Národ Lodge, which was founded on March 28, 1919, and emphasized the connection between these heroes of the Resistance and the establishment of the independent Czechoslovak state and our Lodge. The commemorative plaque has its own turbulent history, which we also remembered.
After his little speech, WM:. laid flowers at the memorial plaque to honour the memory of these great personalities. Our Sunday journey continued to the Jenerálka restaurant, where we had lunch together and ended this important meeting in a convivial atmosphere. The entire event was a beautiful reminder of the history and values upon which our Lodge is built.
